Big cities and big lights
can't compare to country nights
You can savor the sweet moments because life moves slower
and notice the beauty cause the noise is much lower
See everything around you in different ways
notice the softness in the tall grass as she lays
The city has beauty but life moves too fast
so most of the time you can't make it last
It disappears, it fades
cutting the beauty away with blades

Then all there's left is tall buildings, lights, and flash
always in a hurry, always need to make a dash
For the things that seem too far ahead
keep running toward them, never going to bed
Always in the future, instead of in the moment
not said to offend but her life, slow it went
Not to say his life was awful
but her's went slow and fruitful
Cause she knew and noticed beauty in its purest forms
from a pretty little flower to big and blazing storms

She could savor every gift god gave her
even when its as basic as a warming fur
Or something as simple and heartwarming as love
that could only be given by our God from above
From different worlds they came
Her's sweet and simple, his fame

Sometimes attraction's all people have in store
but these special two, a bond was shared from its core
From the first time they locked eyes
they knew they'd never have goodbyes
Time and life went on and on
talking they'd stay up till dawn
Doing dishes and having soap fights
and slowly they moved to new heights

Like cuddling up by the fireplace
moving forward to their own pace
Sitting on the porch swing counting blessings and fireflies
telling old stories and memories, never telling any lies
Once, they had something they thought they would never come close to
a goodbye they almost had, why they came back no one ever knew

The special two collided with a single kiss and embrace
just as he remembered she was completely softer than lace
They fled to their secret meadow/grassland
the sunset they shared together, hand in hand
Stealing little kisses igniting with desire
his lips on mine, scorching as fire
Strong arms around my waist
long and sensual we embraced

Then we shared a long and innocent kiss
so filled with love that no one could miss
Both dissolved into true love's heated fog
melded together their hearts started to jog
